Production Assistant

Katy has been working in the sign production field for over 19 years. She enjoys that everyday at Sign Design is different, with her favorite work being hand painting, gold leafing, and sewing.

Outside of work, Katy has many hobbies. She keeps aquariums and loves aquascaping, plays video games, and loves all things fantasy and horror. She also enjoys drawing, painting, and sculpting. Katy has many fish, two giant rabbits, a bearded dragon, a crested gecko, two cockatiels, and a 23-year-old parrot!

What do you love most about Sign Design?

I like how there’s always something different. One day I’m painting and gold leafing, another I’m sewing banners or wrapping a vehicle.

What made you want to work at Sign Design? What makes you stay?

I knew an employee who was leaving for school who told me I should apply. I stay because it’s enjoyable and I get to do things I like.

Where have you worked prior to Sign Design?

I worked at McDonald’s and GNC vitamins.

What other roles have you had at Sign Design?

I have also been a Finishing Supervisor.
