Graphics Supervisor
Kaitlin began her Sign Design career as a graphics technician and worked her way to become the supervisor of the department. Previously, she worked in many creative roles including photography, ceramics, screen printing, and as an afterschool art teacher. She says she works with the best people that are all very talented and work well as a team. She is an artist in every way and enjoys her “really cute cat.”
What do you love most about Sign Design?
It has been great to see the growth here at Sign Design over the last 10 years. The team has overcome many challenges together and we have continued to thrive. The advancement in printing technology since I started is truly amazing. We have a great team as well as good leadership that is very supportive. Being part of employee ownership makes it more than a job.
What made you want to work at Sign Design? What makes you stay?
One of my cousins as well as my older brother worked at SD before me. My brother was on the install team in the earlier 2000’s when it was just a small shop. I love the friendly family culture at Sign Design. I think many of us stay to be part of Sign Design’s future. I also enjoy printing.
Where have you worked prior to Sign Design?
My past experience varies. I worked as a server and bartender at TGIF’s for a long time, but also as an assistant art teacher for the after-school program at Norwood Public Schools, a photographer for events and in a portrait studio, a screen printer for a small business, and in a ceramics shop teaching classes, with some graphic design here and there.
What other roles have you had at Sign Design?
I started as a graphic technician in a temporary position and moved up from there.
Do you have any hobbies?
I spend my free time taking care of my apple trees, hanging out with my cat and creating art. I participate in art and craft fairs and serve on Middleboro’s Cultural Council.
